About the Position

We are seeking a part-time Pro Shop Attendant to join our team at the Pelican Bay Foundation. This role reports directly to the Racquets Manager and is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests at our Racquet centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with guests, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Take court, lesson, and clinic reservations and check-ins.
  • Manage the cash register, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Sell pro-shop merchandise, promote sales, and maintain a thorough knowledge of products.
  • Assist members with finding available players for matches and provide information on unique events and leagues.
  • Operate the Chelsea tennis reservation computer system and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including counting inventory and processing transactions.
  • Receive and stock new retail merchandise, price items, and maintain displays.
  • Order and stock beverage coolers, coffee supplies, and other necessary items.
  • Coordinate with outside lease court facilities and maintain accurate court counts.
  • Set up and instruct members on the use of the Ball Machine.
  • Clean and maintain member deck areas, including restocking supplies and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Count items for monthly inventory and perform other duties as assigned by the Racquets Manager.
Requirements
  • Ability to develop full knowledge of merchandise, tennis procedures, and policies.
  • Exude a positive, well-mannered attitude and demeanor with members and guests.
  • Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stop, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
Education
  • Minimum high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Any combination of education, training, and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
