The Head of Racquet Sports Operations will oversee the comprehensive management of our premier sports court facilities, which encompass Tennis, Pickleball, and Bocce. This role is integral to aligning our operations with the club's vision and ensuring a high-quality experience for members and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administrative and supervisory aspects of the sports court operations, requiring a robust skill set in operations and racquet sports management.
  • Deliver expert instruction in Tennis and Pickleball, catering to players of all skill levels, supported by the necessary certifications.
  • Facilitate corporate events and training sessions as assigned, ensuring smooth operations during these periods.
  • Engage actively with the sports community, promoting participation in all three court sports.
  • Organize and oversee intra-club tournaments and special events to enhance member engagement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar for all sports activities, ensuring clear communication of events.
  • Establish a consistent on-site schedule for yourself and your team, while being available for emergencies when off-site.
  • Enforce club policies and oversee court usage, ensuring proper fee collection.
  • Initiate and promote clinics and programs to foster interest in Tennis, Pickleball, and Bocce.
  • Supervise the Bocce program and manage associated software effectively.
  • Provide tailored instruction for players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the facilities to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
  • Monitor court usage and manage scheduling software as needed.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff members, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Oversee the pro shop operations and inventory management.
  • Develop and manage budgets in alignment with club goals.
  • Prepare monthly reports and maintain an accurate membership database.
  • Contribute to the club's newsletter and social media with relevant sports updates.
  • Collaborate closely with the club's management team and attend relevant meetings.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; proficiency in Microsoft 365 is essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with staff and members.
  • Preferred ratings of 4.5 or higher in both Tennis and Pickleball.
