Overview:

We are seeking a personable Golf Shop Concierge to enhance our Golf Department at Quail West. Quail West is a premier private golf and country club renowned for its exceptional facilities and a welcoming atmosphere for Members and their guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all members, guests, and staff by name upon entering the Golf Pro Shop.
  • Manage phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for members and their guests.
  • Assist in compiling departmental reports.
  • Update and maintain departmental policies and procedures as directed by the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf.
  • Keep an accurate distribution/contact list for members, staff, and vendors.
  • Provide comprehensive support to members and their guests, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
  • Promote the club's golf programs, events, and values to the membership.
  • Communicate important information to management regarding member or guest issues, equipment malfunctions, or staff concerns.
  • Maintain inventory records for the shop and assist with merchandising as needed.
  • Support tournament operations and event planning.
  • Oversee the Foretees online tee time system, including daily notes.
  • Open and close the Golf Shop, reconciling daily sales activities.
  • Manage marketing materials for the Golf Shop, including social media and promotional content.
  • Act as a liaison between the Golf Shop and all other departments within the club.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective people management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Valid State-issued Driver's License.
  • Compliance with all Federal and State Employment Eligibility guidelines.
  • Prior experience in the golf industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Tee Time reservation systems (Foretees) and retail point of sale systems (Jonas) is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
