Job Description

Happier People Management is seeking a skilled Event Account Manager to oversee client relationships and manage the execution of events. As the liaison between clients and the event production team, you will ensure that events meet client expectations while being delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Address client concerns and requests in a timely manner, providing solutions to any issues.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Work closely with clients to gather event requirements, timelines, and budgets.
    • Develop event concepts, proposals, and timelines that align with the client's vision.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, logistics) to ensure flawless execution.
  • Budget Management:
    • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
    • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best rates for services and materials.
  • Project Management:
    • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Post-Event Reporting:
    • Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting client feedback and lessons learned.
    • Provide post-event reports, including financials, attendee feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services to clients.
    • Support the team in acquiring new clients by contributing to proposals and pitches.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in event planning, account management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events at once.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
  • Budget management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in event management software and MS Office suite.

The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $80,000 USD per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
