Position Summary: The Housing Compliance Coordinator is tasked with ensuring adherence to Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD 202/811 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracks updates in LIHTC and HUD regulations and implements necessary changes;
  • Maintains tenant documentation for all relevant LI properties in compliance with LIHTC/HUD standards;
  • Processes annual and interim certifications and unit transfers;
  • Drafts recertification notification letters;
  • Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for tax credit syndicators and funding sources;
  • Engages in LIHTC/HUD reviews conducted by external entities;
  • Conducts internal audits of tenant files;
  • Assists in the initial lease-up of new properties;
  • Supports the Affordable Housing Compliance team in managing properties across the agency as required;
  • Possesses knowledge of the Federal Fair Housing Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, with annual training in these areas being mandatory;
  • Participates in required training sessions (including Relias Learning) and successfully completes LIHTC and HUD training, achieving a passing score on the exam;
  • Attends weekly supervision and departmental meetings as scheduled;
  • Stays updated with all agency-required compliance documents and training;
  • Performs additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should exhibit strong organizational capabilities and a meticulous approach. Proficiency in computer skills is essential. Certification in Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD 202/811 compliance is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary. A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in LIHTC/HUD 202/811 compliance-related work is preferred. Experience and/or education in working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9 AM to 5 PM
