Job Overview

Under direct supervision, a Part-Time Teller I is expected to exhibit behaviors essential for delivering outstanding member service by executing transactions based on member requests and fostering member relationships through relevant product offerings. A Part-Time Teller I should actively contribute to branch success, encompassing sales achievements, accountability, attention to detail, stress management, problem-solving, sound judgment, effective communication, teamwork, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Member Engagement:

Welcome members Ensure branch cleanliness and organization Clarify basic products and services Identify member needs Address member inquiries Resolve member concerns

Account Management:

Navigate various computer systems Update address, phone number, and email information Manage check re-orders Set up direct deposits Assist with online and mobile banking

Compliance:

Perform additional duties as assigned. Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Complete mandatory regulatory training as required. Maintain strict compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls specific to your role.

Transaction Processing:

Execute transactions, process mail deposits, night drop, and cash advances Manage access to safe deposit boxes Scan checks for processing Verify and process member checks Communicate check holds Print necessary documents, including statements and direct deposit forms

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to cultivate relationships and communicate effectively Strong active listening skills Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication abilities Adaptability to a fast-paced environment Sound judgment and problem-solving skills to assist Members Attention to detail Strong organizational and time management capabilities Team-oriented with a respectful and helpful attitude Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to pass pre-employment background checks

Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED At least six (6) months of experience in a teller or cash handling role Minimum of six (6) months of customer service experience A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance may substitute for experience At least six (6) months of experience in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish Bachelor's Degree Experience in a Credit Union Familiarity with financial industry regulations Military background

Important Information Before Applying

Work Hours

Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

This position requires working 5 hours, 4 days per week from 10am-3pm or 11am-4pm, and every Saturday from 9:30am-2:30pm. This schedule includes one full day off during the week.
