**Standard Work Hours are Mon - Fri 6:00am - 2:30pm plus overtime and scheduled weekends**

Summary/Objective:

The Press Operator I is tasked with operating and maintaining digital printing production machinery. This role requires a blend of technical skills and meticulous attention to detail to efficiently meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

Set-up, Operation, and Maintenance:
  • Configure printing jobs by selecting suitable settings, uploading digital files, and adjusting printing parameters based on job requirements.
  • Independently operate printing machines for various job types.
  • Prepare and manage printing materials, including loading paper, fine-tuning settings, and overseeing inventory.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on printing equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Consistently meet expected throughput and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure 100% mail well operation for critical clients.
  • Make necessary adjustments to align with established hourly production standards.
  • Ensure proper sorting in accordance with USPS regulations.
  • Accurately record and reconcile all output.
  • Utilize job data capture effectively to track time.
Quality Assurance:
  • Monitor the printing process to ensure materials meet quality standards regarding consistency, color accuracy, and print quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Implement quality control procedures to oversee the final output quality.
  • Review daily job schedules and report any issues to the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and operational procedures within the plant and department.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated work history of reliability, excellent attendance, and accountability.
  • Experience in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
  • High School diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with USPS regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and understand job tickets.
  • Proficient in using powered material handling equipment and stacking pallets.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not involve supervising other employees.

Work Environment: Indoor, temperature-controlled production facility.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required for specific job functions.
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may necessitate government security clearance for certain projects.
