**Standard Work Hours are Mon - Fri 6:00am - 2:30pm plus overtime and scheduled weekends**

Summary/Objective:

The Press Operator I is tasked with the operation and upkeep of digital printing production machinery. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency and meticulous attention to detail to fulfill customer specifications effectively.

Essential Functions:

Set-up, Operation, and Maintenance:
  • Configure printing tasks by selecting suitable settings, uploading digital files, and adjusting printing parameters as per job requirements.
  • Independently operate printing machinery for various job types.
  • Prepare and manage printing materials, including loading paper, modifying settings, and overseeing inventory.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on printing equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and resolving technical issues.
  • Consistently meet expected production throughput and efficiency.
  • Capable of running 100% mail well for critical clients.
  • Make necessary adjustments to adhere to established hourly production standards.
  • Ensure proper sorting in compliance with USPS regulations.
  • Document and reconcile all output accurately.
  • Utilize job data capture to monitor time effectively.
Quality Assurance:
  • Guarantee that printed materials adhere to quality benchmarks by overseeing the printing process for consistency, color fidelity, and print quality.
  • Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Employ quality control measures to monitor the final output's quality.
  • Review daily job schedules and report any issues to the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures within the plant and work area.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated history of reliability, excellent attendance, and accountability.
  • Experience in a detail-oriented and deadline-driven setting.
  • High School diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with USPS regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and understand job tickets.
  • Proficient in using powered material handling equipment and stacking pallets.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not responsible for overseeing other employees.

Work Environment: Indoor, temperature-controlled production facility.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions.
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may necessitate government security clearance for specific projects.
