Purchasing Specialist Job Description

At Ultimate Staffing, we're seeking a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you'll be responsible for planning and procuring inventory to meet customer needs, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, product performance, and turnover rates to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop vendor programs that enhance margins and profitability.
  • Process orders and manage inventory levels for designated suppliers.
  • Use data insights to develop strategies for slow-moving inventory and optimize procurement processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement or purchasing, particularly in distribution or retail.
  • Expertise in negotiating and analyzing data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
