Job Overview

Adecco is seeking dedicated and career-oriented individuals to join our team as Operations Managers for various retail and café establishments. This is a direct-hire position that offers a unique opportunity for growth and development.

Position Title: Operations Manager

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, including opening and closing, with store hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.


The ideal candidate will possess a blend of skills and characteristics, including attention to detail, motivation, consistency, and strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. You will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative work environment that prioritizes both employee and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, select, and onboard a talented and motivated team.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and development for all team members, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
  • Promote a positive work culture that encourages growth and high performance.

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Maintain brand integrity by ensuring a clean and visually appealing environment for customers and staff.
  • Exhibit exceptional sales leadership and customer service by actively engaging on the sales floor.
  • Communicate the company’s values and philosophy effectively to customers.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of products and brand offerings.

Financial Management

  • Drive financial success by meeting or exceeding sales and profitability goals.
  • Understand direct store profitability and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Oversee inventory management and address cash discrepancies.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s operational standards and policies.
  • Actively support and mentor staff on the retail/café floor to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage daily operations, including inventory management, ordering, banking, expense tracking, scheduling, and payroll.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments, including HR, Finance, Marketing, IT, and Shipping.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven ability to cultivate a work environment that fosters pride among employees.
  • Experience in managing staff training and development to reduce turnover.
  • Prior managerial experience in food service, retail, or hospitality is essential.
  • Passion for quality food and exceptional hospitality.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse team of skilled individuals.
  • Understanding of financial principles in a retail or restaurant setting.
  • Demonstrated success in sales.
  • Commitment to safety for both employees and customers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Exceptional customer service and engagement abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Food safety certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks throughout the shift.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
