Position Overview

Gain firsthand experience in leading a retail team within a healthcare organization. This paid internship spans 9 weeks, during which interns will acquire skills to effectively manage and inspire a store team. Interns will develop sales strategies and business plans, delve into staffing and employee development, and grasp the essentials of operating a purposeful business. Participation in field travel days, attendance at career spotlights, and completion of a Capstone Project are integral to this experience. These activities focus on themes such as management and leadership, interaction with support partners in the organization like human resources and asset protection, and making a tangible impact on the communities served by our stores. This internship is crafted for participants to learn how to lead a retail store team while expanding their professional network within the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student at a college or university. Students should be in their Junior or Senior year and pursuing a degree in Business or Liberal Arts. Candidates with equivalent credit hours from a 2-year community college in Business or Liberal Arts, along with 2+ years of prior retail experience, will also be considered.
  • Candidates must be available to work 35 hours per week throughout the program on a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Desirable Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of retail experience or similar experience in a dynamic work environment.
  • Candidates with prior leadership experience and an interest in a potential career in retail management.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student at a college or university.
