Job Overview

Position Summary

The Community Engagement Coordinator is tasked with managing outreach initiatives and direct marketing efforts. The primary goal of this role is to cultivate and enhance relationships with various stakeholders across the state, including educational institutions, students, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working under the guidance of the Marketing and Outreach Director, the Community Engagement Coordinator will oversee offsite outreach and client relations, which includes organizing outreach activities for high school visits, college fairs, financial aid events, and informational sessions for parents and students.
  • Conduct annual visits to colleges as part of outreach strategies aimed at eligible institutions within the state.
  • Engage in presentations at schools, covering topics such as financial aid counseling, literacy training, and other educational workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Outreach Director to review and maintain online college planning resources and tools aimed at financial literacy and default prevention.
  • Provide input on marketing materials related to outreach efforts, product promotion, and overall brand visibility, including booth setups and promotional materials.
  • Assist with daily loan processing tasks, which may involve outreach to new applicants and handling inquiries related to loan forgiveness programs.
  • Participate in various work-related conferences and events as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Experience in roles such as guidance counseling, financial aid advising, or college admissions is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role may involve substantial travel to fulfill outreach responsibilities during peak periods. Work is primarily conducted in an office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
