Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop and implement new programs to meet the evolving needs of our residents, staying up-to-date with industry trends and standards.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor activity staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
- Operations Management: Manage the activities department within budgetary guidelines, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective program delivery.
- Resident Engagement: Meet and greet new residents, observing and reporting on their attendance, participation, and behavior changes.
- Care Planning: Participate in care planning meetings, providing specific information and observations to inform resident care.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete assigned tasks, including charting, care planning, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: Certified or eligible for certification as an activity director certified (ADC) by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals or COTA certificate.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting, with a focus on activity programming and resident engagement.
