Job Summary
First Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Developer to join our team under the direction of the Applications Development Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with all departments to provide high-quality and effective technology solutions and support that contribute to the success and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining RPGLE programs, HTML5 conversions, and API integrations with the core banking system. You will work on leveraging new opportunities and technologies to ensure a smooth transition, improve efficiencies and performance, and provide continued enhancements. Your role will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of operations, requiring a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

* An Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3+ years of experience developing applications in a team environment
* The ability to write code in one or more of the following computer languages: RPGLE, JavaScript, PHP, HTML/HTML5
* Knowledge and experience in writing programs in RPGLE and Command Language preferred
* Knowledge of HTML/DHTML, client/server-side scripting, and MS-SQL/My SQL/Oracle database development preferred
* Experience as a data analyst, with a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices following all aspects of a software development life cycle (SDLC)
* The ability to solve problems and support a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
* The ability to meet deadlines, handle confidential data, and deal with frequent interruptions
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms; especially in documentation and reporting
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically
* The ability to manage stress and work with minimal supervision
* The ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
