Job Summary

Central Texas College is seeking a highly qualified Academic Professor of Mathematics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of mathematics courses, including Contemporary Mathematics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Finite Math, Business Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Linear Algebra.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a minimum of five classes per sixteen-week term
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals
  • Stay current with developments in mathematics education and incorporate best practices into teaching

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Mathematics or Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics required
  • Credit in undergraduate mathematics through Differential Equations or Calculus III
  • Some related teaching experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualified to teach traditional, online, and dual credit courses
  • Demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills, as well as computational skills
