The firm is in search of a full-time Corporate Staff Attorney to play a vital role within our highly esteemed Corporate team. The ideal candidate will oversee transactions and possess the capability to independently manage significant documentation. This role necessitates experience in capital markets transactions, general corporate law, and intricate mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage in a meticulous and analytical approach with a keen attention to detail to:

  • Draft, review, and amend various transactional documents (including purchase/sale agreements, operating agreements, stock/share-related transactions, etc.)
  • Assist in due diligence projects for mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior attorneys for resolution

Collaborate enthusiastically to:

  • Interact and communicate effectively with clients, partners, counsel, associates, and staff
  • Develop expertise in the practice area, contribute to knowledge management and business development initiatives, and participate in training sessions

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a corporate law setting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about transactional and corporate law
  • Team-oriented with the ability to take initiative and complete tasks independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills facilitating professional communication
  • Capability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
