About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef II to join our team at Brock & Company Inc. - Marlborough. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting unit management in the production, cooking, and service of all hot and cold food required at the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production, preparation, and cooking of foods, including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering, and other items determined by the Chef Manager.
  • Set up stations prior to service with appropriate equipment and food, as determined by the supervisor.
  • Assist management in purchasing, inventory control, and training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Comprehension of verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for daily menu preparation.
  • Background in banquet or catering production is preferred.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move food, containers, and other non-food items.
  • Adherence to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
