About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef II to join our team at Brock & Company Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting unit management in the production, cooking, and service of all hot and cold food required at the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production, preparation, and cooking of foods, including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering, and other items determined by the Chef Manager.
  • Set up stations prior to service with appropriate equipment and food, as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with management in purchasing, inventory control, and training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to health, safety, and food handling regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Comprehension of verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions, and techniques for daily menu preparation.
  • Background in banquet or catering production is preferred.
  • Adherence to outlined health and safety regulations regarding equipment use and personal hygiene.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move food, containers, and other non-food items.
  • Adherence to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
