Job Title: Assistant Asset Manager for Affordable Housing

Join Tripalink Real Estate as an Assistant Asset Manager for Affordable Housing and contribute to the growth of our multifamily portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing investment portfolios, supervising affordable housing projects, and conducting financial analysis to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing investment portfolios of over 85 projects, totaling over $700M in valuation across various states.
  • Supervise affordable housing projects related to leasing and financing, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Conduct financial analysis of development assets, including pro-forma and financial modeling, to assess property performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
  • Review and approve maintenance repairs from third-party property managers or vendors.
  • Manage ownership/property management relationships, providing regular communication, clear direction, and effective issue resolution.
  • Review and finalize annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business plan targets and market standards.
  • Monitor financial budgeted-to-actual variances and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and guiding corrective action.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and communicate financial results to investors and lenders as needed.
  • Oversee cash management, including tracking capital expenditures, managing reserve balances, and disbursing funds to lenders.
  • Assist in the disposition process for properties placed on the market for sale, including broker selection, marketing material review, and due diligence management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, real estate, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate or financial related roles, preferably in multifamily or affordable housing.
  • Experience with affordable housing, such as LIHTC, is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Appfolio, Juniper Square, and CoStar is required.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a strong focus on financial analysis and real estate expertise.
