The Regional Manager for Affordable Housing Portfolio is a key role responsible for overseeing a designated collection of properties. This position is crucial in ensuring adherence to all company policies, operational standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing regulations and policies.
  2. Supervise adherence to LIHTC and Section 8 guidelines.
  3. Oversee the LIHTC Application and Annual Recertification processes.
  4. Maintain regulatory compliance with funding requirements and reporting obligations.
  5. Conduct thorough file audits and property inspections while liaising with regulatory bodies.
  6. Perform semi-annual property evaluations as mandated.
  7. Develop and present annual operating budgets for client approval.
  8. Monitor financial performance and marketing strategies to ensure asset viability.
  9. Complete and submit monthly and quarterly management checklists punctually.
  10. Make informed recommendations regarding rent adjustments based on market analysis.
  11. Ensure properties maintain all necessary documentation and compliance materials.
  12. Guarantee that all units meet established maintenance and aesthetic standards.
  13. Analyze vacancy rates and turnover statistics to optimize property performance.
  14. Review financial statements and reports to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  15. Track service requests to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
  16. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with clients, residents, and staff.
  17. Provide leadership and training to on-site personnel to maximize operational efficiency.
  18. Respond to inquiries from residents, clients, and vendors in a timely manner.
  19. Participate in recruitment and hiring processes for on-site staff.
  20. Ensure all staff meet training and development requirements.
  21. Evaluate staff performance consistently and document all necessary communications.
  22. Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures across all properties.
  23. Maintain effective communication with clients and supervisors to align with organizational goals.

Additional Duties:

  • Enforce community rules and regulations consistently.
  • Promote a professional image and adhere to company dress code policies.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in affordable housing management, including LIHTC and HUD programs.
  • Relevant affordable housing certifications or designations.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role within property management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Real Estate Salesperson License as required by state regulations.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
