Job Responsibilities:
The MAX ASE team at Boeing is looking for support in reviewing System-level Safety Analysis documents generated by various airplane systems, propulsion, and interiors commodity teams. We are committed to providing comprehensive training to reviewers regarding MAX-specific configuration details and the expectations for Safety Analysis documents in accordance with our internal standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Experience in system safety engineering or design engineering at the system level (e.g., avionics, fuel systems, flight controls).
  • Familiarity with ARP4754(A) standards as they relate to System Safety Assessments.
  • Proficiency in fault tree analysis and numerical probability analysis methods applied to safety evaluations, including the translation of these analyses into probability requirements.
  • Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of common cause analyses, particularly common mode analysis.
  • Strong technical writing skills that are clear and concise.
  • A collaborative approach to coaching, working effectively with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve shared objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher in electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering is preferred, along with over 10 years of experience in system safety. Familiarity with ARP4754 standards and knowledge of propulsion and interior systems, as well as avionics systems such as fuel systems and flight controls, is highly desirable.

Skills & Experience:
Expertise in Aerospace, Aviation Systems, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis, Flight Controls, Fuel Systems, Safety Analysis, System Safety, and Technical Writing.
