A leading nonprofit organization is seeking to hire a new Residential Support Specialist to enhance their dedicated team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability of programs by offering assistance and monitoring the living environment while supporting effective service delivery.

Position Overview:

  • Schedule: Flexibility to work any day of the week
  • Hours: Overnight shifts from 12am to 8am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe the premises and provide necessary resources to clients
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and stable atmosphere for all residents
  • Conduct regular rounds within and outside the facility to uphold safety and security
  • Manage incidents by reporting and documenting occurrences, intervening in crises, and communicating with the management team
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily attendance, shift reports, visitor logs, and progress notes
  • Welcome individuals entering the facility, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and guide them accordingly
  • Engage with residents, visitors, and staff to maintain order and safeguard property
  • Assist with intakes and property searches as necessary, and manage mail distribution
  • Receive and log food deliveries, ensuring meals are served to clients; willingness to complete a food safety course is required
  • Screen residents, visitors, and packages to prevent unauthorized items from entering the residence
  • Provide support for operational needs as required
  • Facilitate access to laundry and shower facilities for clients
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Experience working with individuals facing homelessness or mental health and substance use challenges
