Position: CO2 Business Growth Strategist

Role Summary:

The individual in this position will be tasked with identifying and cultivating new business avenues, formulating and steering the growth strategy, and achieving defined growth objectives in CO2 and Dry Ice sectors. Acting as a proactive 'hunter', this role involves close collaboration with national sales teams to realize targets across diverse channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeks out, assesses, and develops innovative growth initiatives and applications.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with key industry stakeholders and major accounts to drive growth opportunities, while developing market segment strategies and investment plans.
  • Collaborates with regional sales teams to establish strategic direction, manage leads, and develop accounts to ensure comprehensive business capture.
  • Encourages teamwork and collaborative selling by leveraging resources from Sales Teams, Application Specialists, Product Management, and other Linde assets to maximize business outcomes.
  • Engages with Linde's R&D teams to stay informed on emerging market trends, economic conditions, and opportunities for new business development.
  • Creates and implements tailored account plans for individual clients and prospects, establishing SMART goals to secure new business achievements.
  • Fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, facilitating strategies for other Linde team members to do the same.
  • Exhibits advanced negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of complex contractual terms.
  • Identifies and mitigates potential account risks.
  • Monitors key performance indicators through various review functions.
  • Ensures adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards in alignment with leadership objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, sales, marketing, or a related technical field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar capacity or field sales experience within the gas industry is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial CO2 applications across various sectors.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is highly desirable.
  • Essential skills include selling and negotiation, problem-solving, effective communication, product/process knowledge, and customer relationship management.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills are critical.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing sales plans, with deep customer insights and competitive landscape knowledge.
  • Strong capabilities in prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Exemplary problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
