Position Summary: The Director of Marketing and Business Development at Nutanix is a pivotal role focused on steering marketing strategies and program initiatives for significant growth avenues. This position involves identifying and evaluating market dynamics, formulating business and product strategies, and crafting comprehensive project execution plans. The ideal candidate will possess a robust blend of strategic marketing, business development acumen, and leadership expertise.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in advanced technology sectors, including but not limited to cloud infrastructure, data management, and virtualization. The Marketing Director will leverage industry best practices to drive innovation and establish a strong network within the tech community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough market and economic analyses to identify industry trends and needs.
  2. Explore and cultivate collaboration and partnership opportunities, including joint ventures and technology licenses.
  3. Negotiate and implement strategic alliances to fulfill Nutanix's objectives while managing associated risks.
  4. Identify strategic issues that present opportunities or challenges for the organization.
  5. Develop methodologies to achieve consensus on necessary actions.
  6. Create and execute project plans aimed at capitalizing on growth opportunities.

Functional & Business Knowledge:

  1. Proven expertise in strategic marketing, including market segmentation, product strategy, and competitive analysis.
  2. In-depth knowledge of one or more advanced technology fields.
  3. Ability to influence business and regulatory matters impacting the organization; provide thought leadership for various initiatives.
  4. Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated capabilities in program management and strategic leadership.
  5. Experience leading high-profile, multidisciplinary project teams.

Qualifications:

  1. 7-10 years of experience in technology sectors, particularly in marketing and business development roles.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees are preferred.
  3. MBA is highly desirable.
  4. Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Time Commitment: Full-time

Employee Type: Regular

Travel Requirements: Yes, approximately 10% of the time

Relocation: Eligible

Compensation: Competitive salary range based on various factors including experience and internal equity.
