Position Overview:

This opportunity is for a seasoned Process Integration Specialist focused on our Silicon Photonics technology platforms. The primary responsibility will be the execution of our multi-project wafer (MPW) program, with additional chances to engage in various sponsored initiatives.

The ideal candidate will also contribute to ongoing improvement efforts to enhance manufacturability while ensuring consistent and reliable performance of our products.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage third-party design intellectual property.
  • Conduct design rule checks and waiver evaluations.
  • Gather and analyze measurement, metrology, and inline testing data.
  • Submit process and measurement change requests and participate in change review boards.
  • Engage with clients or development partners to clarify project requirements and provide updates on challenges, risks, and progress.
  • Actively participate in team discussions and collaborate with fellow integration team members.
  • Coordinate with vendors, including mask houses, dicing/packaging services, and outsourced processes.
  • Provide integration support for the core Photonics MPW program.
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and patents as necessary.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • A Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering or Science discipline from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • OR a Ph.D. in a similar field with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks on short notice is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

Flexibility and a quick learning ability are crucial, as the organization's needs may evolve rapidly.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Process development across various sectors (LTH, RIE, INS, MTL, CMP, PLT, WET, RTP, ION, EPI).
  • CMOS Process Integration experience in a 300mm wafer fabrication environment.
  • Integration experience with non-CMOS technologies (MEMS, sensors, magnetics, photonics, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 2.5D/3D integration and heterogeneous integration.
  • Background in modeling or device physics of photonic devices, particularly silicon or III-V photonics.
  • Proficiency with IC layout and verification tools (KLayout, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys).
  • A proven track record as a hands-on problem solver.
