About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Smart Foodservice Stores LLC. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in the overall financial performance of the store, including product merchandising, expense control, and achievement of sales and profitability goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach employees to provide efficient and friendly service at the registers and throughout the store.
  • Ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgeting process and manage shrinkage with a focus on front-end processes.
  • Participate in the annual inventory process and train employees on required programs.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training assigned employee groups.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to employees, including schedules, store goals, and sales and shrinkage targets.
  • Plan in-store demonstrations and maintain merchandising programs within the store.

Requirements:

  • A two-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a retail work environment is required.
  • Must have at least two years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and make good business decisions.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and self-drive.
  • Strong communication and conversational skills, with the ability to negotiate and build professional relationships.
