Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to contribute to a thriving General Neurology practice. This role involves collaborating closely with a dedicated Neurology team, providing care to a diverse patient population.

Practice Features:

  • Patient appointments scheduled for 30 minutes, accommodating both clinic visits and emergency referrals.
  • Access to mentorship and support from an experienced Neurology team.
  • Focus on specific Neurological conditions, ensuring specialized care.
  • Assistance from Medical Assistants and a well-established Neurology program.
  • Involvement in a Comprehensive Stroke program, including advanced procedures and specialized clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to address health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff for optimal patient care.
  • Provide guidance to nursing and support staff.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health issues and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with established standards.
  • Integrate new knowledge from professional development into clinical practice.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Current ARNP license in the State of Oregon or eligibility to obtain one.

Experience:

Preferred clinical experience in a relevant field.

Credentials:

  • Required: Nurse Practitioner certification in Oregon.
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of age-specific care principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality patient care.

Additional Notes

  • This position primarily involves outpatient care.
  • Clinical experience is a requirement.
