Overview:

The Field Marketing and Engagement Intern is a paid internship opportunity that plays a crucial role in the effective Brand Activation and implementation of the field marketing strategy at the assigned location. Collaborating closely with the Field Marketing team, the intern will design and execute social media communications, marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and engaging events aimed at achieving specific objectives. This role also involves assisting the account leader with creative projects and analyzing market trends and data to inform decisions that yield positive outcomes. Additionally, the intern will foster connections with the campus community through both digital platforms and in-person events.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Activation:

  • Collaborate with Field and Center Marketing partners to implement interactive marketing and promotional activities (such as pop-ups, demonstrations, tastings, etc.) and successful sales initiatives within budget constraints.
  • Work alongside the on-site management team to create effective and unique marketing campaigns and communications that address essential needs of the campus community.
  • Coordinate the execution and engagement of social media strategies designed to inform and engage target audiences.
  • Develop both physical and digital marketing materials that align with brand guidelines to enhance campus and social media engagement.
  • Utilize insights from industry trends and feedback data to inform decisions that drive targeted results.
Community Engagement Support:
  • Serve as a student liaison to various campus departments and organizations, assisting with feedback events to gather guest insights.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the account's involvement in campus and community events to raise awareness of dining programs, boost auxiliary sales, and enhance brand perception.
  • Identify and escalate any client/account risks to the Manager and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Support the site leader with team member engagement activities that reflect guest engagement to address any gaps.
Qualifications:
  • Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a capacity to learn and apply new information.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
Work Schedule:

This internship will require a commitment of hours per week, arranged in agreement with the supervisor, and will be carried out over a minimum of two days each week. The schedule is flexible to accommodate academic commitments and other responsibilities.
