About This Position

As a Financial Management Consultant, you will be pivotal in guiding clients through a range of complex projects, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, practices, and procedures while delivering precise and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end closing process, which includes managing the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, conducting balance sheet account reconciliations, and analyzing account discrepancies.
  • Direct operational accounting, reconciliation, and reporting efforts, while effectively communicating with business partners to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting treatments in line with GAAP.
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly and quarterly reports as mandated by client policies, while identifying and implementing process enhancements and system improvements.
  • Review client policies and procedures to guarantee SOX compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • Over 8 years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or relevant industry roles.
  • Proficient in general ledger accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and possess a strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities to cultivate relationships and build trust across all organizational levels, coupled with a strong client service focus.
