Position Overview: Under the guidance of the Food Program Manager, the individual will oversee menu planning, inventory management of food and supplies, and food procurement for various programs. The role also includes managing the daily operations of the on-site food pantry.

Supervisory Responsibilities: May oversee one staff member.

Physical Requirements: This position demands a full range of motion, including the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs regularly), good flexibility, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with high energy levels.

Working Environment: Involves prolonged computer use, standing for inventory assessments, and handling boxes and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  2. Comply with all relevant USDA, CACFP, and SFSP policies and regulations.
  3. Conduct daily inventory checks, ensuring food quality and monitoring expiration dates.
  4. Submit daily food quantity requirements and weekly meal needs.
  5. Collaborate with the Food Program Manager to determine necessary food quantities.
  6. Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and timely.
  7. Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and Food Program Manager regarding operational issues and food distribution changes.
  8. Develop and implement new food programs and distribution initiatives.
  9. Ensure adherence to the correct menu and maintain updated menus on-site.
  10. Manage attendance and records for CACFP and SFSP accurately and submit on time.
  11. Oversee daily operations of the food pantry, including inventory management and paperwork completion.
  12. Follow uniform and personal hygiene standards.
  13. Embrace and demonstrate the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Certifications in CPR/AED, BBP, and First Aid required within 45 days of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with effective management skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and standard business software.
  • Able to engage effectively with diverse community groups.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

During the School Year:

Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Friday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

During the Summer:

Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.
