Administrative Coordinator Role at Prince George's County Educators' Association

Position Overview:

  • Deliver extensive assistance to the President and Executive Director
  • Oversee Sick Leave Bank operations
  • Facilitate the efficient functioning of the leadership office

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma is mandatory
  • Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in an administrative role, ideally within a union or educational context
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capability to create reports, emails, and presentations
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: coordinate calendars, draft documents
  • Communication Oversight: manage both internal and external communications
  • Meeting and Event Planning: arrange meetings, retreats, and events
  • Document and Record Management: organize files and records
  • Member Relations: address member concerns with professionalism
  • Sick Leave Bank Management: assist in its oversight

Physical Requirements: Some lifting, equipment setup, and filing may be necessary.
