Responsibilities
SUMMARY:
The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for managing and creating customer quotations for both new and ongoing business opportunities. They comply with company financial standards, ensuring that proposals fulfill customer requirements and are submitted punctually. They oversee the entire process from inception to completion to ensure alignment with customer and KGP business criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engaging in RFP processes and executing strategies for intricate quote opportunities
- Collaborating across departments to establish capabilities and internal costs for quotes/bids
- Applying market-appropriate pricing and uniform pricing policies
- Implementing suitable terms and conditions in accordance with company protocols
- Modifying pricing to achieve customer and financial objectives
- Managing quote storage and distribution within the company’s system
- Maintaining special pricing and rebates in the system for designated customers
- Providing updates on status to customers and internal teams
- Planning and documenting the quote development process
- Identifying and resolving issues related to quotes and bids
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor Quotes
Safety Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complying with safety regulations and participating in hazard assessments
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or
- Six to twelve months of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, write, and effectively present information to customers and colleagues
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Capable of performing basic mathematical operations with proficiency
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to adhere to established guidelines and resolve standardized issues
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical requirements include speaking, hearing, sitting, and dexterity in handling objects. Visual capabilities include close vision and color discrimination.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
