Life Safety Preventive Service Sales Role

As a Service Sales Representative with Johnson Controls, you will play a critical role in promoting and selling service agreements for commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, communication, and inspection. Your primary objective will be to manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunities to closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support achieving sales plan objectives.
  • Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations to secure sales.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales plan targets, adhering to predetermined metrics and sales methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Enviable presentation skills with the ability to captivate individual and group communications.
  • Selling of service and intangibles, with exposure to sales methodologies and disciplines.
  • High self-motivation, success drive, and energy level, with a focus on customers and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to persuade and close sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
  • 2-3 previous progressive sales roles, with knowledge of the fire and life safety industry.
  • Aptitude for technical knowledge and high level of attention to detail.
