Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is tasked with overseeing all elements of design-build and engineer-procure-construct initiatives. This role encompasses the management and administration of the primary contract, as well as the supervision of engineering, design, procurement, scheduling, and construction management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates integrated Design-Build (DB) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams from project initiation to completion.
  • Provides comprehensive oversight of engineering design and construction activities.
  • Manages the administration of the primary contract, construction subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Ensures adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards set by the client.
  • Plans and executes project performance reporting.
  • Facilitates effective communication and coordination with clients and stakeholders.
  • Addresses and resolves potential disputes proactively.
  • Develops and monitors compliance with project-specific health and safety plans.
  • Supervises Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Oversees Requests for Information and conducts value engineering assessments.
  • Coordinates procurement activities and oversees subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Develops initial project schedules in collaboration with engineering and construction teams.
  • Manages changes to the primary contract and ensures timely progress payments.
  • Prepares and presents monthly reports on project progress, budget forecasts, and scheduling.
  • Conducts project close-out and warranty administration.
  • Trains and mentors junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, with a preference for 5+ years in DB/EPC projects within the power delivery sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering, design, construction methodologies, and project management practices.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in project management software, with a preference for Primavera P6.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as project needs dictate.
