Job Overview

Position Summary: We are looking for a proficient and seasoned Refrigeration Project Coordinator to lead and manage refrigeration initiatives from start to finish. The Refrigeration Project Coordinator will be tasked with orchestrating project activities, managing resources, ensuring adherence to regulations, and delivering projects within established timelines and budgets. This position necessitates a robust background in refrigeration systems, project oversight, and leadership capabilities.

Key Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the senior project manager to assess and develop the project scope based on various documents such as Bid/Construction Drawings, Customer Scope Documents, Project Specifications, Site Photos, and On-Site Meetings.
  • Define project objectives, scope parameters, and effectively communicate project details with subcontractors, vendors, architectural and engineering consultants, and clients.
  • Analyze plans to determine the types of subcontractors needed to facilitate the work.
  • Review plans and provide take-offs for equipment, materials, etc.
  • Create comprehensive scope of work documents to clearly convey project details (both overarching and specific) to the construction team (subcontractors, vendors, clients, etc.).
  • Prepare overall bids that encompass multiple subcontractors, vendors, and management.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure they include all necessary project details.
  • Conduct cost analysis using project data for comparative analysis to assess bid accuracy.
  • Implement value engineering strategies: Analyze project scope to propose optimal or alternative solutions to minimize costs and adhere to budgets.
  • Address scope-related inquiries (RFIs) to architects, engineers, and clients to clarify scopes for bidding purposes.
  • Develop project schedules for bidding and project management purposes.
  • Document project details through the company's project management software (status, dates, change orders, permits, equipment, etc.).
  • Review purchase orders and contracts prior to project commencement.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Construction or Refrigeration project management is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset: Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Proficient mathematical skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while being self-motivated.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, and highly motivated.
