POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Associate plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager to ensure the utmost precision in the store's inventory management. This position involves overseeing the daily preparation and execution of product and patient transfers, as well as making informed recommendations regarding product surpluses and deficits. The Associate will maintain inventory in alignment with state regulations and assist in the enforcement of the company's policies and operational procedures related to inventory management. This role is essential for identifying and resolving any inventory discrepancies that may occur.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure meticulous inventory documentation, compliance, and accuracy throughout all production stages.
  • Supervise warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and transfers.
  • Guarantee that inventory records are consistently precise.
  • Conduct cycle counts on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as required.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to perform inventory audits as necessary.
  • Adhere to established audit protocols and physical inventory checks to uphold the integrity of company records.
  • Record receipts and documentation to maintain accurate inventory accounts.
  • Assist in the scheduling of inventory and compliance personnel as needed.
  • Execute system adjustments as required and engage in root cause analysis for any discrepancies. Facilitate the identification, initiation, and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Collect, verify, and archive necessary documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality in accordance with regulatory compliance and HIPAA standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience in the field.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while interacting with diverse personalities across various levels of seniority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff; must maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficient in understanding and following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Capable of interacting respectfully and courteously with customers and team members.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Highly organized with strong management and leadership capabilities.
  • Possess problem-solving, communication, and numerical skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must be able to move throughout the workday, including navigating confined spaces. Adequate vision and hearing, or the use of prosthetics, are necessary to meet the demands of this position. The individual must be capable of functioning independently, demonstrating flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and support agencies.

The role may involve interaction with individuals who are ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally distressed, or occasionally hostile. The candidate must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet and move such weight a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is:

  • Frequently required to traverse the entire facility, including confined spaces; accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information with others, including the public; observe and inspect details at varying distances; operate computing devices; and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery).
  • Required to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs; lift/carry/position objects weighing up to 50 lbs; ascend/descend ladders or steps; and position oneself at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl).
  • Occasionally required to remain seated for extended periods.

This position typically requires 40 hours of work per week, with flexible hours based on store needs. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
