Inventory Control Associate

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Associate plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager to ensure complete accuracy in the store's inventory management. This position involves overseeing the daily preparation and processing of product and patient transfers, as well as making informed recommendations regarding product overages and shortages. The Associate will maintain inventory in accordance with state regulations and assist in the execution of company policies and procedures related to inventory control. This role also requires the analysis and resolution of any inventory discrepancies that may occur.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate inventory recording and compliance throughout all production phases.
  • Monitor warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and transfers.
  • Maintain precise inventory records at all times.
  • Conduct cycle counts on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to perform inventory audits as required.
  • Adhere to established audit protocols and physical inventory checks to maintain the integrity of company records.
  • Document receipts and other paperwork to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
  • Assist in the scheduling of inventory and compliance personnel as needed.
  • Implement system adjustments as necessary and participate in root cause analysis for discrepancies, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Collect, audit, and file necessary documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality in line with regulatory compliance and HIPAA guidelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and interact with diverse personalities at various levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate effectively with all management and staff levels.
  • Capability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong management and leadership capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to move throughout the workday, possess adequate vision and hearing (with or without prosthetics), and function independently while demonstrating flexibility and integrity. The role requires the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including those who may be ill, disabled, or emotionally distressed.

Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and move such weight over a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position typically requires 40 hours of work per week, with flexible hours based on store needs. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
