Overview:

The Quality Control Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the quality assurance processes within the organization. This position entails managing the reception of samples, establishing testing protocols, completing Product Evaluation forms, and coordinating laboratory submissions. The coordinator is also responsible for the dissemination of test reports and the management of materials through inventory systems. Regular updates will be provided to department heads regarding ongoing laboratory investigations. Additionally, the coordinator will assist supervisors in collecting and organizing testing data and trends.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely updates to various departments concerning sample submissions.
  • Assign testing requirements for incoming raw materials and bulk lots, ensuring proper allocation to Analysts.
  • Engage with relevant personnel to address re-sampling needs and gather necessary documentation.
  • Support processes within the Change Control Record Program.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including quality data trends and laboratory logs.
  • Review Certificates of Analysis (COA) and other quality documentation from suppliers.
  • Produce CofAs for bulk materials based on completed testing results.
  • Assist in the investigation of Customer Complaints by providing testing information.
  • Coordinate the submission of samples to external laboratories and report results.
  • Create Purchase Orders for laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Offer training and technical support to the Quality Coordinator team regarding testing requirements.
  • Utilize various database platforms for effective information management.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field such as chemistry or microbiology.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related science is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and basic statistical analysis.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Familiarity with GMP regulations and FDA testing methodologies.
