Position Overview

Role Summary:

  • The Warehouse Team Member will handle various tasks including loading, packing, auditing, cycle counts, general cleaning, scanning orders, and shipping/receiving operations at the production facility.
  • Work Schedule: This is a first shift role, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Compensation: $18.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute general warehouse duties while familiarizing yourself with essential terminology.
  • Utilize computers and scanning devices effectively.
  • Conduct cycle counts throughout your shift.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Warehouse Manager regarding any concerns.
  • Inspect packages to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure packaging adheres to quality benchmarks.
  • Organize the workspace using 5S methodologies, including sweeping, mopping, and cataloging.
  • Move cases weighing up to 50 pounds to support production flow.
  • Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to distribute materials and finished products.
  • Dispose of outdated or defective items appropriately.
  • Use compactors for cardboard disposal.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor to enhance efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail regarding package quality is crucial.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with peers and supervisors.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is advantageous.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, employees are frequently required to stand, climb stairs, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and use hands and fingers for handling objects and operating a computer. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be capable of working 10-hour shifts.
