Position Overview

Role Summary:

  • The Warehouse Team Member is tasked with essential functions such as loading, packing, auditing, conducting cycle counts, maintaining cleanliness, and managing shipping and receiving operations at the production facility.
  • Work Schedule: This role operates on a 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is $18.00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute general warehouse duties while familiarizing oneself with relevant terminology.
  • Utilize computer systems and scanning devices effectively.
  • Conduct cycle counts throughout the work shift.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Warehouse Manager regarding any operational issues.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing packages to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure packaging adheres to quality expectations.
  • Organize the workspace using 5S methodologies, including cleaning and cataloging.
  • Move cases weighing up to 50 pounds to facilitate smooth production flow.
  • Operate manual or electric pallet jacks for the distribution of materials.
  • Dispose of outdated or defective products responsibly.
  • Utilize compactors for cardboard disposal.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to enhance operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail regarding package quality is crucial.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with peers and supervisors.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for occasional weekend overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is advantageous.

Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent standing, climbing, walking, bending, kneeling, and using hands for handling objects and operating a computer. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is necessary, along with the capacity to work 10-hour shifts.
