Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of the organization's property and assets.

This role plays a crucial part in the success of the organization by ensuring effective proactive maintenance support and processes throughout the entire production facility, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures within the facility.

Enhance production efficiency by prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating repair and installation requests across all maintenance activities.

Identify and propose capital improvement initiatives to address infrastructure needs and enhancements.

Establish and oversee the maintenance department budget, continuously evaluating expenditures.


Maintain an inventory management system for critical machine parts, ordering supplies as needed for both inventory and special projects.

Collaborate with subcontractors to facilitate the installation of new equipment and the completion of facility projects.

Continuous Improvement and Strategic Planning:


Develop and maintain a pipeline of capital projects while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including external contractors and suppliers.

Prepare, submit, and update capital requests utilizing capital planning software.

Analyze downtime trends and uphold machine operational standards.


Serve as a technical resource to resolve maintenance-related inquiries and issues, including assisting in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies:

Manage the preventive maintenance program to ensure timely completion of tasks, minimizing production downtime.

Administer the maintenance work order system by prioritizing, assigning, and tracking work orders.

Oversee OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliance programs, focusing on lockout/tagout and electrical safety.


Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations regarding testing and disposal requirements, such as waste oil disposal, Process Safety Management, and Risk Management Plans.

Participate in safety initiatives, including attending safety meetings, conducting incident investigations, assisting in root cause analysis, and performing audits.

Assess and address training needs for maintenance personnel.


This position is accountable for ensuring that monitoring and verification of control points occur, with the necessary documentation completed.

Examples include Critical Control Points (CCP), Preventive Controls (PC), Critical Quality Points (CQP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in a relevant field or completion of trades training.

5 years of progressively responsible experience in a related role.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.

Extensive knowledge related to the position and 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar capacity.
