Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless property operations.
  • Oversee repairs and enhancements within the community, addressing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and painting needs while providing training to team members.
  • Foster relationships with residents by engaging with them positively during maintenance activities.
  • Manage service requests efficiently, prioritizing tasks to build trust and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Prepare for and execute seasonal transitions, ensuring readiness for summer turnover by coordinating with vendors and organizing the maintenance team.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to prolong equipment lifespan and minimize costly repairs.
  • Perform daily property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and excellent curb appeal.

Note: This position may offer a housing discount equivalent to a standard one-bedroom unit, subject to availability.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on general maintenance experience.
  • Experience with HVAC systems.
  • EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal).
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
  • Availability for rotating on-call duties for after-hours emergencies.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including word processing and property management software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to pursue training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade school or military training, or industry designation (CAMT or CAMT II).

We seek candidates with experience in maintenance or facilities management, possessing a proactive approach to problem-solving. While a relevant trade background is advantageous, it is not mandatory. This position offers a competitive hourly wage.
