Position Overview
Role Summary
- The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in delivering patient care services through assigned responsibilities or delegated tasks, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Demonstrates the ability to perform specific duties with proficiency and safety, adhering to established standards within the nursing field.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver care in alignment with Physician's directives, the Plan of Care, and Home Health Aide Assignment Sheet.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed tasks, including monitoring/documenting vital signs, assisting with physical activities, keeping records, and providing support for daily living activities.
- Engage in communication with the RN Case Manager, participate in team meetings, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Comply with company policies, represent the organization professionally, and ensure all clinical documentation is completed thoroughly.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program, current state certification as a CNA, relevant professional experience, successful completion of competency assessments, and necessary health screenings, with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual compensation ranges from $18,880 to $71,760, depending on experience and hours worked.
