Job Description

Job Summary:

Parkview Care Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, communicating with patients, clients, and team members, and maintaining documentation of services in the medical record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech and language disorders, including assessing communication skills and developing treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and team members to ensure seamless care and services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient services and treatment plans in the medical record.
  • Conduct in-services and training for patients, clients, and team members on speech and language techniques.
  • Supervise Therapist Assistants and therapy students in direct patient care to carry out plan of care and patient-related activities.
  • Screen patients based on identified need and travel or float between facilities as determined by supervisor and patient needs.
  • Participate in and assist in departmental studies and projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a valid state license or eligibility to obtain license in state where services are provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
  • Ability to represent Parkview Care Center in an ethical and professional manner and maintain accountability.
  • Must be able to operate departmental equipment, as appropriate.
  • Ability to inspire trust and respect and mobilize others.
