About the Role

Business Resources One is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Design Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for designing and selling profitable landscape projects, achieving yearly personal sales goals, and developing and submitting work orders for sold projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to leads and clients quickly, providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships.
  • Design and sell profitable landscape projects, utilizing your knowledge of hardscape construction, landscaping, and horticultural practices.
  • Achieve yearly personal sales goals, exceeding targets and contributing to the company's growth and success.
  • Develop and submit work orders for sold projects, including change orders if necessary, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Network to develop future clients, maintaining a strong presence in the industry and building a network of contacts and referrals.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with past and present clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist others on the sales team with design work, estimates, proposals, and work orders, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team, providing regular updates and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Provide monthly sales reports to the Director of Design, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Assist the operations team with material purchases and acquisition, when necessary, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Participate in necessary meetings, including bi-weekly 1-on-1 meetings with the Director of Design, and weekly and monthly sales team meetings, staying informed and contributing to team discussions.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to sell profitable landscape design/build work, with a strong track record of success.
  • Possess a positive, outgoing attitude and personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.
  • A 2-year degree in Horticulture, landscape construction, or a similar field is required, with a 4-year degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using Realtime Landscaping Architect, Uvision, Dynascapes, or similar CAD programs, as well as industry-related software products for estimating, such as LMN, Aspire, Boss, Manage360, GoiLawn, etc.
  • Sufficient general computer and technology experience and ability, with a working knowledge of hardscape construction, landscaping, horticultural practices, and drainage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong math aptitude and ability to visualize landscape design elements to maximize the aesthetic characteristics of a client's property and desired project.
  • Ability and willingness to work a necessary schedule, including occasional early morning starts, and evening and Saturday appointments.
Compensation and Benefits

Business Resources One offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary + commission, with a target 1st year earnings of $75k - $125k. Additionally, we offer health insurance, life insurance, simple IRA, paid training, and company events and parties.
