Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Development Engineer to join our team at Express Employment Professionals. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test systems for electronic components, products, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test System Design and Development
    • Design and develop test systems for micro-electronic products, including environmental testing, automated calibration, and data analysis programs.
    • Develop and implement real-time in-process test statistics reporting and integrate the test system with the real-time control system of a production line.
  • Programming and Calibration
    • Write and maintain programming code for Automated Test Systems, including environmental testing, automated calibration, and data analysis programs.
    • Skilled in testing, programming, and calibrating ASIC based products using common industry ASIC memories such as EEPROM, fusible links, and flash memories.
  • Database Management and Reporting
    • Implement database management for controlling the flow of product in the production line.
    • Implement database management of historical production statistics with easy access to production results and yields when troubleshooting field returns or retrieving original test data of returned product.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Maintenance and testing of cable assemblies used for testing, as well as GR&R Measurement System Analysis for all equipment used for testing.
    • Set up and troubleshoot new test equipment and processes.
  • Project Management and Quality Assurance
    • Develop project design timetable to assure that the product is ready for customer on time.
    • Develop NRE Cost and Simple tester BOM conceptual designs and quote materials.
    • Support Quality and Production by developing product release drawings to provide manufacturing with the documents they need to build products.
  • Support and Collaboration
    • Support engineering team during customer meetings.
    • Provide intermediate technical knowledge in most aspects of a project(s).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase process yields by interfacing and working with all processes that are inputs to the test and measurement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering related field, required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, required.
  • Intermediate project management knowledge, required.
  • 4 years of experience to be considered.
