Position Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager who will report directly to the Regional Sales Leader or the Director of Sales. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer retention through effective account management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with key installation companies within designated regions to safeguard our business interests.
  • Identify and target potential growth opportunities within the region, collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive business success.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition for customers moving to James Hardie by addressing barriers and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Leverage CRM tools to make informed decisions that promote year-over-year volume growth.
  • Support Territory Sales Representatives and the Business Development Manager in achieving additional volume growth.
  • Conduct market segmentation to assess opportunities and lead the customer sales process, utilizing available resources for solution development.
  • Build and cultivate relationships, expanding networks and identifying new leads.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on technical installation practices for our product offerings.
  • Manage a priority-based schedule for prospective customer engagements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in attending key activities within the assigned territory.
  • Engage with stakeholders to advocate for James Hardie.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products, installation practices, and customer programs.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making in the market.
  • Capable of leading presentations and discussions in front of large audiences.
  • Exhibit a strong passion for personal and company success to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-touch sales environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, discipline, and self-management.
  • Ability to convey construction expertise effectively at job sites.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and a proactive sales mentality.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15% as required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred from an accredited institution.
