Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for executing software-related tasks that pertain to the design, evaluation, and production of electronic components, products, and systems. This role requires the ability to envision, design, acquire, implement, and manage production testing systems associated with micro-electronic products. The engineer will oversee all facets of testing and calibration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tester Design and Development
  • Develop and maintain programming code for Automated Testing Systems, which includes environmental assessments, automated calibration, and data analysis applications.
  • Possess knowledge of testing apparatus, communication hardware, and software, including GPIB, Serial Buses, Parallel Buses, and LANs.
  • Expertise in testing, programming, and calibrating ASIC-based products utilizing common industry ASIC memory types such as EEPROM, fusible links, and flash memory.
  • Implement real-time in-process test statistics reporting and integrate the testing system with the real-time control system of a production line.
  • Manage database systems to control product flow within the production line and maintain historical production statistics for easy access during troubleshooting or retrieval of original test data for returned products.
  • Transfer software from a development language to Visual Basic, HPVee, or LabVIEW for production purposes, which may involve writing or researching Windows device drivers.
  • Enhance process yields by collaborating with all processes that contribute to testing and measurement.
  • Conduct maintenance and testing of cable assemblies utilized in testing, along with GR&R Measurement System Analysis for all testing equipment.
  • Prepare specifications and cost estimates for the acquisition of new testing equipment.
  • Set up and troubleshoot new testing equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with current customer-specific requirements as applicable.
  • Develop project design timelines to ensure timely product readiness for customers.
    •Create NRE Cost and Simple tester BOM conceptual designs and provide material quotes.
  • Support Quality Assurance and Production
  • Generate product release documentation to equip manufacturing with necessary documents for product assembly.
  • Provide basic support for APQP activities, plant support, purchasing, sales, and failure analysis.
  • Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will adhere to the Fleet Safety Program requirements.
  • •Support, promote, and perform in alignment with continuous improvement objectives and values, which include compliance with the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS Environmental Management Systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Support engineering teams during client meetings is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management is required.
  • Provide intermediate technical expertise in various aspects of projects is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Essential Attributes:
  • Ability to perform under general supervision.
  • Capable of handling moderately complex issues.
  • Possesses a solid working knowledge of relevant processes.
  • May mentor or coach junior team members.
