Mercyhealth, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Child Psychologist to join our Autism Clinic in a dynamic and supportive environment. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, with no call, weekends, or holidays, offering a great work-life balance.

About the Role

  • Provide diagnostic testing for individuals with suspected autism, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and techniques.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, and treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist with interpreting psychological tests as needed, ensuring accurate and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, addressing patients' goals and needs, in consultation with Psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver high-quality behavioral health care, adhering to patient evaluation, treatment plans, and professional licensure.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care, including crisis assessment and intervention.
  • Consult and coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and community agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to state, TJC, and Mercyhealth system guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical collaboration, supervision, and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and staff development.
  • Provide in-service education programs and serve as a resource to staff and the community, as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and selection of patient education materials and services, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Psychology and relevant field experience and coursework.
  • Current Psychologist license in the state of practice.
