As a Service Operations Technician, your primary role will involve assessing, diagnosing, and rectifying GEA Mechanical Equipment at diverse client locations across various sectors within the Mid-West Territory.

Core Duties

  • Diagnose, install, and repair GEA machinery at client facilities.
  • Execute basic PLC parameter adjustments.
  • Conduct service operations and accurately complete and submit reports and associated documentation.
  • Analyze issues, recommend repairs, and implement equipment enhancements.
  • Perform in-house repairs and testing of equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Commit to working the required hours, including reasonable overtime, to meet client needs and complete assignments.
  • Maintain follow-up communication with clients and partners as needed.
  • Conduct necessary research to provide clients with accurate parts, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Be prepared for travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Contribute to team objectives by fulfilling all tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Profile / Qualifications

  • Completion of Trade School or High School Diploma.
  • Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate mechanical schematics and identify components.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • A positive work ethic and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Availability for on-call duties and extended hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
  • Must be willing to travel across Canada, the United States, and internationally as needed.
  • Anticipate travel requirements of up to 80-90%.
